Team Relay – Standard Distance
Our relay event is always popular and many teams tell us that they will recommend Norwich Triathlon to others. Teams are made up from families, friends, work colleagues and many more combinations.
So how does it work….
You need three team members and each team member will complete ONE part of the triathlon as per the below and in the below order:
Team Member 1 – 1500m Open Water swim in Whitlingham Broad
Team Member 2 – 38km open road bike
Team Member 3 – 10km mostly off road run around the stunning broad
A full briefing will be sent to all competitors ahead of the race. This will explain where and when your team members need to be for handover etc.
The swim commences from the Open Water Centre with competitors starting in the water. Wave times will be allocated ahead of the race and communicated through the pre race pack and on the day at registration.
The bike route takes competitors right out of transition along Whitlingham Lane towards Trowse before heading out through the stunning South Norfolk route shown on the map to your right.
The run route starts with you turning left out of transition on to a short section on Whitlingham Lane before you turn right into the picnic field. There is then a short section through the woods before joining the path around the stunning Whitlingham Broad for 2 laps. It is then back into the main field and into the finish line!
